Offered year-round, our weekly shotgun programs delight, challenge and educate. Lima SABRES is a proud sponsor of the Wapakoneta Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and the USA Clay Target League. The team allows students, both male and female, from grades 7–12 to participate in trap, skeet, and sporting clays.

Lima SABRES has three trap houses, with the ability for each squad to shoot from the 27 yard line for handicap shooting; and each house has stadium lighting for shooting in the evening. Seasonal 5-Stand mixes things up and invites you for friendly practice! Trap Leagues and Practice are offered several times a week!

Trap

We offer three trap houses which are all equipped with current Pat Trap or LaPort machines. We have the ability to throw single or double birds and each machine uses wireless voice calls.

5-Stand Please Check Schedule

We currently have six machines, DoAll and Atlas, and have the ability to throw just about every presentation known.

Thursday Trap Practice and League
Every Thursday evening (except during Junior Trap); weather permitting. Open at 5:30 PM, Shooting starts at 6:00 PM.

Junior Trap League

Lima SABRES offers the areas premier Junior Trap Program. Junior Shooters are guided under the watchful eye of dedicated SABRES members. This six week trap program teaches beginning and intermediate shooters the fundamentals of trap shooting & safe handling of firearms.

All equipment is provided for youth free of charge. The skills and lessons learned here can help prepare your child for a world of shooting opportunities from perfecting ones knowledge and hunting abilities to Collegiate Scholarships, National Team and Olympic opportunities.

June through July at 5:30pm. Junior Trap programs are sponsored in part by generous grants from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. SABRES members receive unlimited rounds. Non-members receive two free rounds with additional rounds available for purchase.
